This year’s Volunteer Awards Epsom & Ewell and Mole Valley, to coincide with National Volunteers Week, took place on the 2th June 2016 at Epsom and Ewell Town Hall and 9th of June at Exxon Mobile Office in Leatherhead.
The Event was organized by Voluntary Action Mid Surrey in partnership with Epsom & Ewell Borough Council and Mole Valley District Council to acknowledge the contribution of volunteers in local community who has have made a real difference in the local community.
The Mayor of Epsom and Ewell, Councillor George Crawford QPM, presented the awards For Epsom & Ewell and Chairman David Mir presented the award for Mole Valley along with Sally Dubery, Chief Executive of Voluntary Action Mid Surrey who read out the citations, highlighting the many invaluable contributions made by the nominees at a special ceremony.
Samantha Aung Thin, Voluntary Action Manager for Voluntary Action Mid Surrey explained;
“This annual event is a way for us to recognise and thank those volunteers who give up their own time to help and support many local charities and community groups. Without their invaluable help, many services to both individuals and to the community would not happen”.
